The metering unit for centralized heating charging is the heating area. In this metering mode, the judgment index for determining whether the heating is qualified or not is not the heat consumption, but the comfort of the heating users. In this paper, a precise control technology for on-demand heating in different time periods and regions is proposed, which uses monitoring and feedback of room temperature as the basis for on-demand heating. Based on the research and analysis of the wide adjustment, and precise transmission and distribution mechanism of the heating network, the room temperature variation laws and heating network delay characteristics are analysed, and the control objectives and technical feasibility are determined. To further reflect the comprehensive characteristics of room temperature, a formula for calculating the number of room temperature sensors and the spatial distribution principles are determined, a method for calculating the effective room temperature of heat substations is developed, and a predictive feedback control method and its automatic control logic are proposed based on the deviation between the feedback and set values of effective room temperature, combined with the prediction of outdoor meteorological parameters. Engineering practices show that this technology can not only improve heat quality, but also significantly reduce heat consumption.
